We’re from an IT and telecommunications background, with Michael and Darren founders of the telecommunications provider 
Optionbox and managed service provider Optionbox Networks.
Optionbox and Optionbox Networks have numerous accreditations and we are partnered with some of the largest telecoms and IT firms in the world. For instance, Optionbox Networks is a Microsoft Silver Partner. The team at Business Tech Planet draws from a wide range of skills and experience, from writers, editors, coders, and graphic designers, to the co-founders of Optionbox, a UK telecoms company providing services to more than 300 clients nationwide.

Jack Mitchell has been the Operations manager at telecoms and MSP Optionbox for more than 4 years. He has played a crucial role in the company, from marketing to helpdesk, and ensures that the IT requirements of over 300 clients are continuously met. With his innate passion for technology and troubleshooting and a particular interest in Apple products, Jack now delivers the most comprehensive tech guides to make your life easier.
Michael Fontana
Co-founder & Editor-in-Chief
Michael Fontana has been a director of telecoms and MSP Optionbox for over a decade and has worked in various telecommunication roles over the last 20 years. Michael has been involved in many exciting projects, such as co-founding telecoms and IT businesses and has now built up a team of more than 15 staff, serving over 300 clients nationwide. With a wealth of experience in IT and a passion for technology, Michael is now helping BTP to produce the highest quality guides on the internet.

During this time, he has been involved in a range of exciting projects and — together with Michael Fontana — he has built up a team of more than 15 staff. Why We Started Business Tech Planet
At Optionbox and Optionbox Networks, we get asked a lot of questions about our solutions, as you can imagine. Unfortunately, they’re not always questions we want to answer on our own website. For example, whether or not VoIP works without the internet. So we decided to found Business Tech Planet to answer these questions in an informative and detailed way, with no commercial intent. This site is purely about informing people and businesses on what technology is and how it works.
