The full error reads as follows: “There is not enough memory or disk space to complete the operation,” and you may also see error code 200797. If so, these fixes can help resolve the problem:

  1. Reboot your device
  2. Delete temporary files
  3. Transfer large files to an external drive
  4. Disable protected view in Word
  5. Run Word as an Administrator
  6. Repair “Microsoft 365 Apps”
  7. Troubleshoot on https://support.microsoft.com
